System Requirements

Minimum Software Requirements

Verify that the system where you run vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager meets the following minimum software requirements.

  • vCenter Server 6.0
  • ESXi version 6.0

Minimum Hardware Requirements

Verify that the system where you run vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager meets the following minimum software requirements.

  • 2 vCPUs if content lifecycle management is disabled.
  • 4 vCPUs, if content lifecycle management is enabled.
  • 16 GB memory
  • 127 GB storage

vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager Ports

Requires Ports for Product and Integration Communications

Deploy the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager Appliance

Log in to the vSphere Client with an account that has permission to deploy OVF templates to the inventory provide Name for appliance and select the OVA file downloaded.

Enter the path to the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager appliance .ovf or .ova file. to enable the Deployment of the OVA.

Provide the Name for VM to display and select VM folder.

Select the host and Next.

Review and Next.

Accept the EULA and Next.

Select Size and Next. if you are planning to use the LCM to have Content Management add more compute to the deployment.

Select Disk provision as Thin or Thick and Next.

choose the Network port group for LCM appliance Network and Next.

Provide below information and click Next :

Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Domain Name: mt.local
Domain Search Path: mt.local
DNS: 192168.1.100,192.168.1.101 (DNS servers with comma)
Network 1 IP: 192.168.1.115
Network Netmask: 255.255.255.0

Review and finish to deploy the appliance.

Watch the Recent Tasks to Monitor your ova Deployment.

Power on your new LCM Virtual machine.

The console of LCM appliance will look like this, as you notices it has automatically detected the DNS record from DNS server as shown below.

LCM 2.1 Solution configuration

Open LCM using https://lcm01.mt.local or https://192.168.1.115 as shown below with this Account :

  • Username : admin@localhost
  • Password : vmware

First Step will be to change the Root Password for the LCM
